Fall Foliage Raft
Turner Creek 10/20/2007
This was an impromtu raft-up that started the prior weekend and was proposed the the rest of the club early in the week in an email. It sounded like an ideal reason to sail to the Sassafrass to try to catch a glimpse of some of the turning leaves.
Saturday started with a great sail from everyone's home port. For the boats travelling from Middle River, we averaged 6-7 knots for the entire trip.
The raft formed and the crews of CarpeVentum, Narsilion, Mosella, Padozary, Penury's Prize and Silent Running gathered in Silent Running's cockpit for appetizers and cocktails.

The wind kicked up during happy hour and we found a small sailboat on a mooring kept creeping up on us... We repositioned the raft and reset the anchor twice before breaking up into separate smaller rafts. The wind continued into the night.
The following morning the winds were light and the sailing was much slower back to our home ports.
