Beach Party at Tolchester
On September 26, the Beach Party at Tolchester was held. The winds were brisk. The boats sailing in had plenty of wind to spare. With the high tide, there was plenty of water.
Meanwhile, on land, the tables were prepped; food in place and the firewood stacked and ready to go. The festivities promptly began at 1600. Unfortunately, the rain began at 1610. Being an adaptive bunch, the members in attendance quickly, efficiently and with great precision, gathered everything up and moved the party to a covered, screened- in structure affectionately called the “chicken coup”.
Even though the rain came down hard, the festivities and spirits were high. The members had a blast. With delicious food and beverage to go about, all had a great time. The members indulged in a new hit game called “shoot the powerboat” which is rumored to be released on Nintendo soon.
Later in the evening, the ladies gathered for an impromptu session of “ask Dr. Wolf” for advice on relationships and life, while the men enjoyed cigars and fine spirits.
The boats in attendance were: Narsilion, Adventure bound, KavaKava, Carpe Ventum, Silent Running, Contigo, Tomorrow Came, Aquila, Sena Nuff, Champagne, Meant to Be, Windkist, Timothy James, Misty Sam, Eternity, Mosella, Penury’s Prize, Off the Charts, Orion and the host boat Fortune Hunter.
