Commodore’s Clambake Cruise
July 18-25, 2010
Mark you calendars! Your Commodore will lead a cruise the week of July 18th. One highlight of the cruise will be the Governor J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clambake at Crisfield on Wednesday, July 21 (12:30 PM - 4:00 PM at Somers Cove Marina). The all-u-can-eat menu includes: steamed crabs, fresh fried fish, steamed and fried clams, a raw bar, french fries, corn on the cob, onion rings, watermelon and beverages (soda, beer and bottled water).
Big boat, small boat, new boat, old boat - we’ll all have a good time.
Our annual week long cruise was bumped to July because a number of boats wanted to participate in the Delmarva Circumnavigation in June. I'm still working on the specific itinerary for the Commodore's Cruise and will keep you posted by email. It will be a good time with lots of opportunities for sailing, socializing and seeing a bit of the Chesapeake you may not have visited before.
We anticipate more members on this cruise than we have had on a week-long cruise for the past few years. If you have specific suggestions, send me an email and let him know your ideas.
The Crisfield clam bake is limited to just 6,000 tickets and does sell out. If you want to partake in the feast, we recommend you go to www.crisfieldchamber.com/clambake.htm and get your tickets ($40 donation/person). Also, please let me know that you're planning to join us.
